Escrow of software source code and associated materials may provide essential protection for customers who wish to continue using their software in the event that the software developer who supplied same ceases to trade.

It involves the developer providing an independent third party (us) with copies of source code and other relevant materials to ensure that same are available to the customer in the event that certain triggering conditions are satisfied.

It can also be used to provide off site backup and a documented history of source code development which may be very useful for legal purposes.
